Jan Hendrix
(Maasbre, 1949)

He studied at the Ateliers '63 and the Jan Van Eyck Akademie in the Netherlands. He lives and works in Mexico since 1978. He has participated in collective and individual exhibitions in countries such as Kenya, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Turkey, Morocco, Australia, Yugoslavia, Ireland, Cuba, Korea, China, Brazil and Mexico. His work is in both public and private collections. Some examples: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Ministry of Finance in Mexico, SRE, FEMSA Collection, Jacques and Natasha Gellman Collection, CONACULTA, Caixanova Collection, Rijksmuseum Twenthe, MUAC-UNAM, Irish Museum of Modern Art, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, among others . He has received several awards such as the International Prize for Contributions and Innovations in Graphic Art awarded by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando and the Decoration of the Order of the Aztec Eagle, grade Award.
